The Wild England website will ultimately contain information on 365 animals including marine and insect life. Although it is not intended to be an academic reference work as such, it is nevertheless being written with considerable academic rigour.

The information about each of the proposed 365 animals will be presented in a child friendly format. Each animal will have an introduction written in an easy-to-read style that will appeal to children and adults alike. The introductions will have a brief description of each animal and will provide information about the animal's geographical location and preferred habitat as well as interesting facts about its life and character.

It is intended to present more detailed information on around 125 animals by dividing this information into 5 age categories. (see age categories) These age categories will correspond to school years 2-6 (Ages 6-11) and will be written in a style with grammar compatible to the National Curriculum for each age group.

Further information will be provided in the form of Factfiles. These are designed to be adult friendly and the information provided will be more technical in nature and form.
